Artist Biography

Caitlin Agnew primarily creates large scale, abstract, acrylic florals.  Her work can be described as feminine and whimsical, yet bold.  Caitlin’s inspiration for her work flows more from an inner calling and a desire to simply find joy in the creative process. When she first started painting, she often noticed little Finches (birds) visiting her balcony while she painted.  Upon looking up their spiritual meaning, she knew her art was to be named after these Finches.  It’s their meaning that reminds her to continue to find joy in creating and to celebrate the little things, just like the Finch does.

“The finch is unafraid to express what makes its heart sing.  These songbirds make their in-flight journeys into a dance, twisting and turning throughout the air for no purpose other than enjoyment.  They are free and happy and are unconcerned with what is considered the acceptable norm.  The finch reminds us to celebrate the little things, even if they seem unimportant.  Sing your own song, just like the finch does.”
